Located on Lujiazui, the peninsula in the financial district of Shanghai, the AiG Tower is a rather modest highrise compared to its record-breaking neighbourhood. The international competition called for a twenty-storey office building situated at the river front of Huangpujiang.
The competition was won in 2004, approval planing ended in 2006 and construction began in the spring of 2007.
