We tested the new Darwin Framework in Bentley’s Generative Components, which was later introduced at the Smart Geometry Conference in Troy 2011. It allows Multi Objective Optimisation using a genetic algorithm. The first test was a landscape through which a path curve needed to be computed. The optimisation solved for both shortest distance and minimum difference in altitude.
